This season, we are honored to welcome a true flamenco icon: Antonio Molina, “El Choro.” His exceptional technique, powerful expression, and deep passion make him one of the most talented and esteemed flamenco dancers of his generation. Musicians’ Biographies
Biography Patricio Grande (guitarist)
Patricio Grande began his guitar studies at the age of 7 at the Music Academy of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek. At 18, he delved into flamenco guitar under Antonio Segura’s guidance. By 19, he was accepted into the Royal Conservatory of Mons, studying classical guitar with the renowned Brazilian maestro Odaïr Assad, and earned his master’s degree in 2009.
During his studies, Patricio had the opportunity to attend masterclasses with distinguished classical and flamenco guitarists, such as Gerardo Nuñez, Manolo Franco, Scott Tennant, Camarón de Pitita, and Paco Fernandez.
In his professional career, Patricio has shared the stage with numerous renowned artists from Belgium, France, and Spain. Some of these notable collaborations include David Bastidas, Javi Gomez, Carlos Piñana, Farruquito, Juan Paredes, Cecile Evrot, Yurentz Bermudez, David Perez, Maria Marin, Cristina Hall, Inès Rubio, Lorena Oliva, Isaac Barbero, Antonio Paz, Jose Ligero, Esteban Murillo, Marisol Valderrama, Antonio Martinez, Alex Otero, Federico Ordoñez, Sofia Yero, Torre de Montijo, and Elena La Grulla.
Currently, Patricio is an active guitar teacher at the Conservatory of Brussels and performs in various projects. His primary focus is on his own flamenco projects and numerous tablao performances.
Biography Cécile Evrot (singer)
Cécile Evrot, a trained pianist, discovered flamenco at the age of fifteen, which was a true revelation for her. She instinctively turned to singing, initially studying on her own for several years. Later, she went to Spain to study under José Mendez (Jerez) and Juan José Amador (Seville), gaining experience in accompanying dance with artists like Carmen Ledesma and Pilar Montoya “La Faraona.” In 2014, she met the legendary cantaor Juan Peña El Lebrijano in Seville, who became her mentor and greatly influenced her singing approach.
An artist of many talents—also an actress and songwriter—Cécile collaborates with prominent artists from the French and European flamenco scene. She teaches at various associations, offering a sensitive and open approach to cante, with joy and respect for the fundamental values of flamenco.
Biography Lidia Rodriguez (singer)

Lidia Rodríguez González, born in Paradas (Seville) in 1997, is an outstanding flamenco singer with an extensive and diverse musical education. She began her training at the age of thirteen and has dedicated herself professionally to flamenco since the age of eighteen.
She trained at the Cristina Heeren Foundation and at the “Cristóbal de Morales” Conservatoire in Seville, where she completed her Professional Degree in Flamenco Singing. She later graduated with an Advanced Degree in Flamenco Singing from the “Rafael Orozco” Conservatoire in Córdoba. In addition, she holds a Degree in Primary Education with Music as her specialisation from the University of Seville.
Throughout her artistic career, she has taken part in numerous flamenco events and festivals, including the Circuito Andaluz de Peñas Flamencas, the Bienal de Flamenco en la Provincia de la Diputación de Sevilla, the Festival del Mostachón Joven de Utrera, and she served for one year as flamenco singer with the Orquesta Sinfónica Flamenca de España, among others.
She has received several prestigious awards, including First Prize “Manuel Mairena” at the National Antonio Mairena Competition, First Special Prize for Colombiana at the National Competition of Cantes de Ida y Vuelta in Marchena, and the Special Young Artist Prize at the Soleá Competition of Alcalá.
Her academic achievements also include a Master’s Degree in Flamencology from ESMUC. With a solid academic background and a distinguished artistic career, Lidia Rodríguez González is regarded as one of the prominent emerging voices in the world of flamenco. She is currently a flamenco singing lecturer at the “Rafael Orozco” Conservatoire in Córdoba.
Biography Léa Llinares (dancer)
Léa Llinares, born in France, is a distinguished flamenco dancer known for her remarkable career and contributions to the art form. At 18, after years of classical and Spanish dance training, she discovered flamenco through schools in Toulouse. This encounter led her to Andalusia, where she immersed herself in the flamenco culture. In 2011, Léa moved to Seville to deepen her studies at the Fundación de Arte Flamenco Cristina Heeren, where she trained under masters such as Ana Morales, Javier Baron, El Choro, and especially Milagros Mengibar. In 2012, she received a scholarship from the Fundación Cristina Heeren, further enhancing her practice and technique.
During this time, she gained stage experience with regular performances in tablaos. In 2014, she stood out as a solo dancer at the festival “Passe ton Bach d’abord.” She created her first solo show, “No Me Ha Dejado,” with musicians Kiko Ruiz, Alberto Garcia, and Juan Manuel Cortes. Her presence was also noted as a guest artist for the company “Retorno Flamenco” with the show “Cruzando el Puente” during the Festival d’Arte Flamenco de Mont de Marsan in 2015. She also collaborated with the Bordeaux group Nicolas Saez Sextet for various performances, including “De Allí Paca,” “En mi sitio,” and “Encuentro” in 2024.
In 2016, Léa shone in the show “VivenciAs” during the Rencontres Flamenco et Andaloues d’Albi. She also worked with the Vicente Pradal company for the shows “Del Flamenco a Lorca” and “Medianoche,” and performed solo at the Festival Arte Flamenco de Mont de Marsan. The following year, she was a finalist in the “Talento de Baile 2017” competition, organized by the Fundación Cristina Heeren in collaboration with the Instituto Andaluz del Flamenco at the Sala Compañia de Jerez. In 2017, she created the show “Desvelo.”
In August 2019, Léa was invited to the prestigious Festival de Baalbeck in Lebanon, where she shared the stage with renowned artists such as Omar Bashir, Jahida Wehbe, and Melchior Campos. In 2020, she explored new possibilities by combining flamenco with electronic music alongside multi-instrumentalist Alex Carrasco, resulting in the creation of “Opalo Project” in 2021.
Léa Llinares continues to enrich the world of flamenco with her innovative creations and captivating performances, establishing herself as a prominent figure on the contemporary flamenco scene.
Biografie Beatriz Santiago (dancer)

Beatriz Santiago trained at the Conservatorio Superior de Danza, where she graduated in Flamenco Dance and Choreography. She further deepened her artistic practice through two Master’s degrees devoted to flamenco research, giving her work a strong intellectual and artistic foundation. This combination of academic rigour, artistic precision and sensitivity lies at the heart of her career.
Her international career has taken her to stages across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, with a particularly strong presence in France. For ten years she was a member of a Paris-based dance company in residence at the prestigious Théâtre National de Chaillot, one of Europe’s leading performing arts venues.
Throughout her career, Beatriz Santiago has collaborated with major figures of flamenco such as Adela Campallo, Pilar Ogalla, Andrés Peña, Mercedes Ruiz and Rafaela Carrasco. She has appeared at renowned festivals including the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, the Festival de Jerez, the Flamenco Festival of Nîmes and the Festival of Mont-de-Marsan. Alongside these collaborations, she develops her own artistic work as a choreographer and performer, presenting author-led productions with a clear and personal artistic identity.
In 2023, she accompanied the acclaimed cantaor Duquende as bailaora on his tour in Moscow, contributing a refined and expressive dance language to a musically demanding context. Her stage experience also includes some of Spain’s most iconic tablaos, both in Madrid (Café de Chinitas, Las Tablas, Corral de la Pacheca, Torres Bermejas) and in Seville (Los Gallos, Casa de la Guitarra, Tablao Flamenco Las Setas, Tablao Andalusí), venues where flamenco is experienced in its most direct and authentic form.
Awarded Second Prize at La Perla de Cádiz, Beatriz Santiago is an inquisitive artist, open to innovation, whose work bridges flamenco tradition and contemporary influence. Her dance style is characterised by elegance, freedom, musical sensitivity and a powerful stage presence. Alongside her performing career, she is also dedicated to teaching flamenco dance, a practice she considers essential and which reflects her commitment to the transmission and living evolution of flamenco as an art form.
Biografie Rafael Campallo (dancer)

Rafael Campallo was born in Seville in 1974. In this Andalusian city, he began his training at the age of eleven with José Galván. He later furthered his studies with Manolo Marín, with whom he performed in the production *“A contratiempo”*.
By the age of sixteen, he was already performing as a soloist and guest artist in Spain and Japan, as well as in the renowned Sevillian tablaos “Los Gallos” and “El Arenal”*.
In 1992, he joined the celebrated production “Azabache” at the Seville World Expo. That same year, he was selected by María Pagés for her production “Tango”, which premiered at the Seville Flamenco Biennial. In 1994, he collaborated once again with the Sevillian dancer and choreographer in “De la luna al viento”, sharing the stage with Carmen Linares and Rafael Riqueni.
Rafael Campallo’s definitive breakthrough came in 1996, when he performed in “Por aquí te quiero ver” by Manuel Soler and “La raíz del grito” by Manuela Carrasco. That same season, he joined the Compañía Andaluza de Danza under the direction of Mario Maya. With the company, he toured internationally and performed at the opening ceremony of the World Ski Championships in Sierra Nevada.
In 1999, the new director of the Compañía Andaluza de Danza, José Antonio, invited him back as guest choreographer and principal dancer for “Golpes da la vida”. That same year, he won the prestigious “El Desplante” dance prize at the Festival de La Unión (Murcia) and began collaborating with guitarist Vicente Amigo.
At the XI Seville Flamenco Biennial, he performed in “Trilogía” alongside Andrés Marín and El Torombo, touring extensively across Spain, Europe and the United States. He also performed as a soloist at numerous festivals and theatres both in Spain and internationally. In 2002, he appeared as guest artist in “Yo misma” by Juana Amaya, later performing the same production at the Mont-de-Marsan Festival in 2003. He also played a leading role in the recording of the album/DVD “Jóvenes maestros del baile flamenco”.
The following year, together with his sister Adela Campallo, he presented “Campallerías” at the Festival de Jerez and at the Sala Joaquín Turina in Seville. He also took part in the revival of “Por aquí te quiero ver” at the Teatro Alhambra in Granada and the Teatro Central in Seville. In 2004, his own production “Don Juan Flamenco” premiered at the XIII Seville Flamenco Biennial. He subsequently performed at the Monterrey Flamenco Festival (Mexico) and toured American cities such as Philadelphia, Miami and New York, where he headlined the Spanish Institute’s gala dinner in the presence of Queen Sofía of Spain.
In 2006, “Generaciones” premiered to great anticipation. Featuring an outstanding cast of artists from different generations including Merche Esmeralda, Manolo Marín, Javier Barón, Adela Campallo and Rafael Campallo the production toured Spain and abroad with remarkable success. In 2009, his production “Puente de Triana” premiered at the Mont-de-Marsan Festival (France), featuring an impressive line-up of singers, guitarists and guest artists such as Isabel Bayón and Adela Campallo.
In 2010, the Seville Flamenco Biennial offered him the opportunity to pay tribute to his admired mentor Manolo Soler with “Al Compás de Soler”, which received highly favourable reviews. That same year, he appeared as guest artist in “Horizonte” by Adela Campallo, which ran for over a month in Madrid. In 2014, “Sangre” was presented in Mont-de-Marsan, a production created by the three Campallo siblings Adela, Juan and Rafael which was also performed that year at the XVIII Seville Flamenco Biennial and the Festival de Jerez.
At the Paris Flamenco Biennial in 2015, “En tu Huella” was staged at the Théâtre National de Chaillot, featuring renowned artists such as Antonio Canales, Rafaela Carrasco and Adela Campallo. In 2016, he formed a trio with singer Jeromo Segura and guitarist Manuel de la Luz. He also returned to the Seville Biennial alongside dancers Javier Barón and Alberto Sellés in the production “Inmanencia”, followed by an extensive tour of flamenco festivals and venues throughout Spain.
Throughout the years, Rafael Campallo has remained deeply committed to teaching. In 2019, he rejoined the faculty of the Fundación Cristina Heeren in Seville and presented his new production “Sin renuncia” at the Jueves Flamencos series of Fundación Cajasol. In 2020, he returned to the Seville Flamenco Biennial with “Diálogos del tiempo” by dancer and choreographer Fernando Romero. As one of the most sought-after bailaores of his generation, he also participated in the tribute to Cristina Hoyos at the IX Seville Flamenco Festival.
In 2022, accompanied by Juan José Amador, Pechuguita and Jesús Corbacho, he returned to the Festival de Jerez with “Puro”, a classically inspired work that reaffirmed the essence of traditional flamenco and received outstanding critical acclaim. Currently, Rafael Campallo is engaged in new artistic projects, including “INSPIRACIÓN” (Flanders, Belgium), while continuing to teach courses and masterclasses worldwide.
Biography Antonio Molina (dancer)

Antonio Molina “El Choro” was born in Huelva in 1985. He learned the basics of flamenco from his father, “El Choro”. He expanded and deepened his training with Manolo Marín and Javier Cruz, until in 1999, he won the II Flamenco Dance Contest for Young Dancers of Huelva, organized by the Fundación Cristina Heeren. This victory led him to settle in Seville, where he continued his studies at this school, training with masters such as Javier Barón, Israel Galván, Rafael Campallo, and others. In 2002, he became part of Israel Galván’s company in the show “Galvánicas”, which premiered at the XII Bienal de Flamenco.
The following year, he joined the tour of the show “Rafael Campallo y los Jóvenes Flamencos”, performing at the Flamenco Festival in Monterrey, Philadelphia, New York, and the Miami Festival.
In 2004, he performed at the Festival de Jerez in the show of Adela and Rafael Campallo, with whom he also premiered “Don Juan Flamenco” at the XIII Bienal de Flamenco, and performed in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. That same year, he joined Eva Yerbabuena’s company, performing in the show “Eva”.
In 2006, he participated in the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla in the “Jóvenes Promesas” (Young Promises) cycle. That same year, Javier Barón invited him to perform in his show “Dos voces para un baile”, with performances in Los Angeles, Paris, Sevilla, Córdoba, and Jerez.
He returned to the Bienal de Sevilla in 2008, this time as part of the “Jóvenes Valores del Flamenco” company, with the piece “Tiempos Pasados”, directed by Juan Dolores Caballero “El Chino”, which premiered at the Teatro Alameda.
From 2009 to 2012, he was part of Manuela Carrasco’s company for the premiere of the show “Suspiro Flamenco” at the Teatro Central de Sevilla, followed by a tour of the most important stages in Japan. At the same time, he continued working with Javier Barón’s company, with whom he premiered the show “Vaivenes” at the XVI Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla.
In 2013, he joined the company of guitarist Niño de Pura, performing alongside him during his recitals, and was a guest artist in the show of Juana Amaya, “Morón Baila”.
Since 2015, he has been part of Vicente Amigo’s company, and remains a part of it to this day.
In 2016, he premiered his first solo show: “Aviso: Bayles de Jitanos”, at the XX Festival de Jerez, directed by Rafael Estévez, and produced by the Fundación Cristina Heeren in collaboration with the Instituto Andaluz del Flamenco. He won the “Premio Revelación” (Revelation Award) of the festival for this production. The show was performed until 2018 at various venues such as Tel Aviv, the Festival Días de Flamenco in Albuquerque, Ibérica Contemporánea in Querétaro, the Festival de Arte Flamenco in Monterrey, the Festival Aire Flamenco in Mont de Marsan, the Festival Andalou in Avignon, Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf, Suma Flamenca in Madrid, the Gran Teatro de Huelva, and the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, among others.
In 2018, he premiered his second solo show: “GELEM”, this time directed by Manuel Liñán, at the Teatro Villamartaduring the XXII Festival de Jerez. It was also performed at the Gran Teatro de Huelva and Suma Flamenca de Madrid, at the Teatros del Canal.
In April of that year, he also presented a more intimate show, “MI BAILE”, as part of the Los Jueves Flamencos de Cajasol series and other cycles.
In 2019, he was a guest artist in the show “ÍNTIMO” by Miguel Poveda, with whom he still collaborates.
In 2022, he participated in the new show “Peculiar” by Ana Morales, with which they are still touring.
His next production, “SiDiosKiere”, premiered at the Teatro Villamarta during the Festival de Jerez 2022, directed by Juan Dolores Caballero “El Chino”. It then performed at the Teatro Central de Sevilla (Flamenco Viene del Sur), in Huelva during the Festival Flamenco Ciudad de Huelva, and at the Festival Arte Flamenco de Mont de Marsan in July 2023.
Between 2023 and 2024, he is working on three projects.
One of them is the unique proposal “Francachela”, an original show where he is accompanied by singer Jesús Corbacho and guitarist Jesús Corbacho, premiered at the prestigious Festival de Nîmes.
In the other two projects, he collaborates creatively with Rocío Molina, marking the first time that the award-winning Málaga-based creator is involved in the process of another flamenco artist. This collaboration results in the danced conference “Arza: teoría de lo espontáneo”, based on a text by Pedro G. Romero, premiered at the Teatro Central de Sevilla, and performed at the Teatro Calderón de Valladolid and the 1st Bienal de Flamenco de Madrid (Espacio Matadero).
On the other hand, together with Rocío Molina and Ernesto Artillo, he creates the show “Prender (un acto de combustión)”, which premiered at the Festival Flamenco Azul in Marseille. It has since been performed at the Flamenco Festival of Esch (Luxembourg), Suma Flamenca in Madrid, Casa Colón in Huelva, and in autumn 2025, it will be presented in Barcelona, as part of the Festival Ciutat Flamenco.
Biography Ramón León Matías (percussionist)
Ramón León Matías, born in Antwerp to Andalusian parents from Cádiz and based in Roeselare since 2004, was captivated by flamenco from the age of eight. From an early age, he actively sought out the pure essence of flamenco and embraced every opportunity to develop his percussion skills.
He undertook training courses and masterclasses in Jerez de la Frontera and Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz) with Gerardo Núñez, as well as music seminars in Madrid (Amor de Dios), Barcelona (Taller de Músics), Granada and Seville. He also studied with renowned artists such as Cepillo, Salvador Matías and Bartolo de Cádiz, and participated in numerous flamenco festivals and traditional gypsy celebrations in Spain.
His innate sense of rhythm and deep-rooted passion for the art form led him to an intensive study of the various paloswithin traditional flamenco. Over the years, he has developed into a versatile percussionist with a strong and distinctive musical identity. In addition to flamenco, he is equally at home in other musical genres including pop, rock, salsa, jazz and reggae, making him a highly adaptable and experienced accompanying musician.
Today, Ramón is active not only as a percussionist but also as a flamenco producer in the Benelux, with a particular focus on Belgium. Through his artistic vision and international network, he produces high-quality flamenco productions and tours, building bridges between leading Spanish artists and the Belgian cultural landscape.
